The Place for Your Event

Penshurst Place is a privately-owned, historic house of Medieval origins, nestled in Tudor gardens, providing a stunning setting for an array of events and celebrations. Located at the heart of the charming village of Penshurst, within the Weald of Kent countryside, it provides a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The venue is only 32 miles from Central London, with easy links to transport hubs in the South East of England.

In a history spanning almost seven centuries, Penshurst Place has been the setting for many a sumptuous event throughout it's history. Kings, Queens, Nobleman, great soldiers and poets have all dined within our walls. The Sidney family have called Penshurst Place home for over 465 years and have hosted guests from all over the world.

Today, it is available for private hire, offering a majestic backdrop for your next event. Our rooms for hire are set within the defended manor house, dating back to 1341, and compromise of the aweinspiring Baron's Hall, the charming Sunderland Room, the cosy Buttery, and the versatile Garden room. The ancient parkland is the perfect setting for various outdoor events, including activity days
